The last LEDs to light up the figures at night, and the electrical box to keep all the circuitry as safe in the desert as possible. As yet another thing I’ve never done before, I’ve started a Kickstarter campaign for this piece! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mindfu/a-message-to-the-parents-we-should-have-had The campaign ends in 2 weeks, right before the sculpture and us all go hang out at the Burn. : ) We’ll be finishing further details all the way up to the last minute of course. From the ol’ Insta. After a very full weekend of work, it’s ultimately so satisfying to see the results. The LEDs for the wings are mapped out and working great. Had to come up with a new pattern, as part of learning that for these wings a) Data can only go in one single line at a time, and b) only One direction. The result of this is that I came up with a pattern I really like, that comes closer to the mock-up as well. Still a lot to go, including more actual programming and setting up how it will work with solar power.
